ZZ was a Stanford Energy Fellow at the SUNCAT Center, hosted by Dr. Frank Abild-Pedersen and Prof. Thomas Jaramillo. Prior to Stanford, he earned his MSc and PhD from UCLA with Prof. Anastassia N. Alexandrova, and his BS from SUSTC with Prof. Jun Li.

Trivia: ZZ is a Gen-Z who enjoys photography, birding, road trips, Nintendo games, and comics.

James is a coterm masters student studying chemical engineering and computer science, originally from SoCal in the San Gabriel Valley. At Stanford, he is involved in AIChE and FLIP. Outside of school, he enjoys playing volleyball and drinking boba.

Shashwat is a PhD student in Stanford’s Materials Science and Engineering Department, co-advised by Jagjit Nanda. He is interested in using machine learning coupled with DFT-based and experimental spectroscopic methods to study solvation at the electrode-electrolyte interface in batteries.
